If your timing is right, you may just catch a rocket launch across the water at our neighbor, SpaceX! During some times of the year, SpaceX employees trim time off their commute by catching the Starbase Hovercraft Shuttle Service. This awesome Hovercraft is not open to the public, but you may have a chance to see it in action as it shuttles employees from our docks to the nearby rocket facility.
Looking to explore the Island? Hop on The Island Metro! This free shuttle service stops at our campground and will take to you a number of local destinations including waterfront restaurants, souvenir shops, the convention center, the beach, museums, and more. The shuttle runs daily and travels the length of the Island, or you can take another route that crosses the Queen Isabella Causeway into Port Isabel. All of the shuttles are equipped with a bicycle rack, ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts, and offer complimentary WiFi.
